The website I did for my masters work, using APIs to fetch data from different sources and present it in a clean and organized way. I chose something very dear to me, the anime Nana, and created a space to explore its characters and story.
AniList API
I fetched Nana data from the AniList API and shaped it into a focused overview of the anime and manga. It presents the cover, titles, genres, synopsis, source, format, status, episode count and community rating in one place.
Character directory
A visual directory brings Nana's main and supporting cast together through portraits, English and Japanese names, and story roles. Visitors can highlight favourite characters with the star control and reset their selection at any time.
Episode tracking
The episode list can be sorted by rating, filtered by viewing state and reset at any time. A result count shows how many of the 47 episodes are visible, while separate totals track favourites and watched episodes. Each card presents the episode number, English and Japanese titles, favourite and watched controls, a personal five-star rating, its air date and community score.
Bands and music
The bands section introduces Black Stones and Trapnest through member cards with character portraits, names and musical roles. Each discography panel combines album artwork, the performing artist, a scrollable numbered track list and individual song durations, connecting Nana's characters directly to the music that defines their world.
